Pastors, are you looking for a unique way to impact your community, grow your church’s faith, and help those in need this Christmas?
Maybe you should consider preaching on Santa. No, seriously!
Welcome to SKINNYSANTA, a four week Christmas challenge that uses the historical story of Nicholas of Myra, or St. Nick, to point us to Jesus. Don’t worry, we tell the story of St. Nick before he got to the North Pole and leave the story from there on in the hands of parents where it belongs. Check out the week 1 video to see how Santa got his start and to get a taste of what we hope to accomplish through SKINNYSANTA!
So now that you know SKINNYSANTA‘s story, here’s what the SKINNYSANTA challenge looks like for your church:
SKINNYSANTA is specially designed to teach your families to be generous over the holidays without taking away the fun of their imaginations.

SKINNYSANTA is a three-fold challenge:
– Share Skinny- Share the story of the historical St. Nick and how he points us to Jesus. Don’t worry–we tell the story of Santa before he got to the North Pole and leave the story from the North Pole on in the hands of parents.
– Go Skinny- Simplify your Christmas by going skinny on gifts for each other so that you can intentionally help a child in need through your church’s unique outreach opportunities.
– Live Skinny- Choose to live skinny on an ongoing basis so that you can permanently help a child in need through mentoring, child sponsorship, foster care, or even adoption.
NOTE: SKINNYSANTA IS DESIGNED TO TELL THE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE STORY OF SANTA (AKA NICHOLAS OF MYRA) BEFORE HE GOT TO THE NORTH POLE. WE STOP THE STORY THERE AND LEAVE WHAT HAPPENED ONCE SANTA GOT TO THE NORTH POLE IN THE HANDS OF PARENTS. IF YOU ARE A CHURCH LEADER, WE STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO THE SAME.
